Eight59 Apartments is a historic apartment building located in the Fort Wood neighborhood of Chattanooga. The building was constructed in 1908 and was an excellent example of the Spanish Colonial Revival style of architecture that was popular in the early 20th century.
The building was originally known as the Elkmont Apartments and was one of the most luxurious apartment buildings in Chattanooga at the time of its construction. It was designed by the prominent Chattanooga architect, Reuben H. Hunt, who was known for his work in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. The building was renovated in 2021 into the modern sleek design of today.
